Colourful Mixed Media Art That Holds Space For Your Story.

I make acrylic and mixed-media paintings on canvas and wood that explore feminist ideas through the language of the body, nature, and psychology. Female figures in yoga poses appear throughout my work—not as portraits, but as archetypes of movement, introspection, growth, and balance. I pair these forms with plant shadows, vibrant colour, and animal symbolism to show how our inner and outer worlds overlap.

“Shadow work” is central to my process: the practice of looking at the parts of ourselves we’d rather hide, accepting them, and growing through that integration.

I build surfaces with layered drawings, paint marks, and mixed media, allowing fragments to emerge and recede like thoughts and memories at the edge of awareness. Palettes are intentional and symbolic; colour acts as a narrative force that guides attention, softens edges, and holds tension.

I don’t depict specific identities. Instead, I create spaces where viewers can recognize themselves—beyond categories—through posture, gesture, and atmosphere. Each painting begins in my Hamilton studio with journaling, meditation, and drawing.

From there, I move between precision and surrender, mapping composition and then inviting chance through layers of mixed-media mark-making.

This practice is part of an ongoing recovery and self-healing journey. I hope that the work offers a quiet, restorative encounter—an invitation to slow down, breathe, and feel what rises from the shadows into the light.
